It's really not a waste of time at all if he is concerned with weight reduction, which all of us should be. A good sound system and rims can slow our cars down considerably so if he can get a 17 lb. intercooler instead of a 40 lb. intercooler like that other guy, he is much better off. It is true that the power made will still result in a better power/weight ratio, but why not try to shave a few pounds off of the kit. It can only help.

Uh... that 40 pound intercooler wasn't for an Integra. It's for a '95 Firebird Formula that has a 388 cid stroker with a Procharger F1 (22 psi) (770 rwhp/682rwtq) . That tiny 17 pound intercooler wouldn't work in my application. So in my case... bigger is better.
