DC Sports Header???
A buddy of mine just had his gsr turbo'd so he doesnt need his headers anymore. My ?? is its a 4-1 header. I was going to get a 4-2-1 later but Im thinking bout getting his header. Whats the difference between 4-1 & 4-2-1. I only have intake. He havent given me a price yet. If I decide to get it whats the most I should pay 4 it.
4-2-1 more low to mid range power, and 4-1 more high end power, usually do 4-1 if u are planning to do more then just intake and exhuast, and a dc header used if it is SS shoulden't be that expensive at all not sure what it would run for
SEARCH and its header not headers.....to give you a brief summary 4-2-1 is better for low end to mid range power, 4-1 is better for mid to high power, 4-2-1 youll have more ground clearance, 4-1 will sit lower. get his 4-1 and ill trade you for my 4-2-1 :chuckles:

*EDIT* Stock GSR header > DC header / Spoon header > both

I even read it in SS or one of my mags that the DC actually makes it flow worse. The only way to really upgrade your header for the car, is maybe a Spoon, Mugen, etc. High-end companies, and PRICEY! Just trying to help you out dude.

I don't see how it could flow worse either. The ports are bigger than OEM and the collector has a smoother intersection.
id go 4-1. y bud had a 95 gsr like mine with AEM CAI but he had 4-2-1 and i had 4-1. he jumped off the line on me like an inch but once we were racing id pull on him. i think it flows better and its louder too. when racing you want the high end since you can take it up to 7-8k rpm. by the time you shift your rpms drop aound 5ish and the mid to high. i did it because i had the money, looking back on it now im going turbo i wish i would have saved the cash. but that summer was fun. 4-1 4 life......ps: dont bottom out with them=)
rugsr, did you actually make a point to say it's louder? I don't mean to flame, but louder is nobody's goal. You have to be somewhere between 16-18 to put 'louder' on your list of things-to-do.
If you are going to upgrade your header, go with Comptech or Spoon. Mugen is overpriced. If you are considering Mugen, you might as well get a custom header and get everything you ever wanted out of a good header. Some may say Spoon is overpriced as well, but hey. They are the Honda gods. I personally would stay away from DC just from things I've heard in the past, but if they come at a good price, even I wouldn't turn it down. Anything is better than stock as long as it is quality, smooth transitioning, and ceramic coated. Ceramic helps to dissapate excessive heat while maintaining a high enough heat to keep up backpressure. If you are going to go with stainless steel, I would suggest heat wrapping it.
