Has anyone done this before?

I opened my door, and the window just dropped. Now I cant even drive anywhere. I have a couple of questions. Can I somehow pull my window back up and keep it up for the time being?

For those that have done it, how much was the part and how hard was the install? I just came back from the dealership and they quoted me $650 to replace the part with labor. I thought that was pretty high.
