Default Horrible problems on swap

OK so I swapped in my jdm gsr on sunday night. The engine started up but it idle'd at 3k rpm's. So i figured..honda=iacv...swapped the iacv for a known good one. Now the idle will bounce from 1-2k. The car was running lean so i had to retard the timing...the idle still bounces from 1-2k but slower. I'm using the skunk2 gsr manifold is there a vaccum problem somewhere? Ignition timming is off? i drove the car and it has a hesitation after you get going about 10mph and then is steady and the tach bounces all over the place but the engine revs steady so that points me back to the dizzy. AHHH any help appreciated. so so confused

Check your vacuum connections. Check the cam timing. Did you replace the gasket when you put on the new IM? Did you properly bleed the coolant system when you swapped, and after you changed the IACV?

swap sensors, i know it sounds dumb but double check, you could have put the wrong sensor somewhere.

Check out the site http://www.g2ic.com. Check the "Teg Tips" section. I believe there is an article on troubleshooting bad idle.

^^ run the engine with the radiator cap off for like 10 minutes to push all the air bubbles out

check your cam timing, dizzy, vaccum lines, wiring

yes after the motor, i dont think you can run your motor without it in the car

fill it until its at the top, run the motor till the thermo opens and fill again till full.

1. The GSR has a bleed screw on the front water passage.

2. Fill the coolant to the neck of the radiator, start the car, let the bubbles rise to the top. You can squeeze the hoses slightly to help. Wait until the fans turn on, and then fill until it's at the base of the neck. Put radiator cap on. Fill overflow reservoir to the max mark.
