Default Ah yes, the actual hard part of upgrading my clutch.

Putting the fucking thing back up in the engine...
We have it lined up pretty well, and even have one bolt (upper tranny mount, closest to the headlights) in a decent way (just to help support for now, so it doesn't teeter on the jack since we called it a night.)

We've got her lined up real close, but are having a hard time actually getting the fucker on.... suggestions? Tips? Help?
All appreciated..
I was thinkin about how the splines of the tranny might not match up, which'd be causing this trouble... could I use the alignment tool that came with my clutch kit to spin that spline from the pass. side where the axle connects in?

It'll be easier when we have a 3rd person chilling with us tomorrow to pull it off... but I'd still like some help/opinions!!!
Thanks!

Is the tranny in gear? If so, put her in neutral!

if theres any way to slide one of the axles in the inlet, do that and then turn the axle so the splines can line up correctly.

that's what I thought of at 3:30 this morning while we were trying to get it done, but it was just me and my friend, so we didn't really have the man power to try that out..
she'll be back on the road tonight...

I just worry about it effing up for some reason or another... i've never done it before, and it's gonna suck if for some stupid reason something got missed.

Stabbing a tranny is a bitch. Without the the resources lining it up is one too. This is one install I have never attempted outside of a shop.
