Please diagnose my clutch symptoms
Car is a 96 integra LS SE
Recently one morning I went to my car and found that the clutch is soft and will only have soft pressure about 1.5" before going to the floor. I can get into gears and can disengage with no problems. And also, now the engagement of the clutch is very quick (I only let out about 1") so the car would buck. I check to see if there was anything leaking from the master cylinder and it's nothing. And the fluid level is good.
But if I I drive my car for a while the clutch would stiffens up again then it would be soft again if I stop(engine off) for a long while. Recently the clutch would not go back to being stiff (sometimes it would be stiff again when I am driving). But most of the times now it's soft.
So what do you guys think is wrong? Should I bleed the clutch? Thanks

i think you might have air in the clutch line. there is a thread somewhere in this forum that explains how to bleed your clutch line. i myself dont know how its done though.

I would bleed it and see if that clears anything up.
Take a clear hose and water bottle and connect it to the nipple on the slave cylinder. Make sure the fluid is full and loosen the bleeder screw with a 10mm wrench. Have a buddy push the pedal to the floor and the fluid will come squirting out. Close the screw, add fluid if needed and then instruct him to pull the pedal off the floor. Repeat until there are no more bubbles in the line or until clear fluid comes out.
