mixing???

Default mixing???

okay so i just switched to synthetic over the weekend, i wanted to put mobil 1 in but all the place had was valvoline. i was just wondering if the oils are the same viscocity is it okay to mix them?

You can mix synthetics as long as they are the same type 10-w30 for example. Just don't make a habit of it.

It's generally not a good idea. Each brand uses its own chemicals and detergents, so two motor oils of the same grade are not necessarily the same.

not necessairly the same huh, so to be safe i should probably just continue putting valvoline in?
