Default Passenger door will not open

I have a Acura Integra 96 LS and my passenger door will not open! I used to be able to push in the manual unlock button inside and pull the door handle and it'd open up.. Now I can't get it to open at all.

My father messed the lock up, he put the trunk key into the passenger door, some how it fit and turned slightly, but not all the way and got stuck.. to get the key out i had to take a wrench to it and force it to turn back. ever since then the locks been messed up..

What in the world should I do?

Unless the trunk lock or door locks were changed, the ignition key should unlock all the locks on the vehicle...including the trunk and glovebox.

There's only so much we can diagnose on the internet.. but it sounds like the lock mechanism on the passenger door is jammed to the point where the lock solenoid cannot move.

From what I'm hearing, it sounds like the only option is replacing the lock cylinder. h:

Agreed. Question is, how much would this cost at a dealer most likely? I'm going to do my best to try and get the door open before going to a dealer.. Otherwise they'll have to rip the door panel up to get it open, not something i'm looking forward to paying for.. especially at a dealer.

At this point I just want to get the darned thing opening before saturday night. Got somebody I want to get into the car easily, barring any embarassment..

Ah, this sucks
