I've never heard of anyone getting in trouble. Also BMW's have them stock so I assume they are legal

they should be street legal, i had them on my civic. i took them off after 2 months because the light output sucks testicles and they halos started to dim abd they fit like shat too. i wouldnt waste the hundred bucks on that crap, just buy an AEM short ram intake if you dont have one or save for something else.

Most of the aftermarket tails and headlamps are not DOT legal. If the housing or lens do not have the DOT stamp or lettering on them, you can be cited by an officer.

But beyond the legal issue, halo lamps look idiotic IMO, no matter the brand.

BMW's also have HIDs stock, but aftermarket HIDs are illegal, so that general statement holds no water.
