Default what do you think about this idea??

ok cai's bring more hp that sri most of the time dont they or is it all of the time cause if you think about it if you race your car when it is half way cold and half way hot then would the sri be faster or the cai cause the sri is more direct and almost the same temp when car isnt too hot

puntuation. people dont just use it cause its cool. jk i dont think the "directness" of the sri makes any difference whatsoever. the only reason your cai would ever perform worse than a short ram is when you drive through a lake and the cai starts sucking up water.

well its all one sentence but the basic thing it is saying is that would a sri be faster because of a direct type of thing when the engine, or would the cai be better anyhow

I've had AEM short rams & now my AEM cold air, with the bypass. I don't ever recall the SRI being faster, ever.

Although, if you're running a JRSC, it'll benefit from the 'more direct' charge.

no, because all the short ram is doing, is sucking up hot engine air.

if you have a vented hood, all the hot air gets sucked out of the vents, leaving only nice cool air for the intake. in that case, and CAI would just be a waste of money.

ok fine, if you have a vented hood then the it allows the sri to act as a cai. but how many people have a vented hood? and if your thinking of venting your hood to avoid the extra cost of the cai, then MORE POWER TO YOU.:fawk:

i actually vented my engine bay for no money. there is a little plastic piece that holds the weather stripping right above the battery. i removed it(it is just clipped in) and cut the weatehr stripping from that spot. then made a platic cover so the battery wouldn't get wet. after that, my SRI made noticably more power after driving a while and my water temps stayed much cooler.
