Default 92 Integra - Check Engine Light on

Hello,
I have a 1992 Integra GS Automatic with 155K. I bought this car with 109K on it from a good friend that had it since new. He was a maintenance freak and always took the car in to a dealer.
I've never had a problem, just did the oil, filters, plugs, dist cap, etc when needed.
Tonight the check engine light came on after driving it about 10 minutes. I then filled up with gas, and about 5 minutes after taking off it came up again.
I got home and looked around and nothing is leaking, and all fluids are at the proper level.
Is there a way to pull codes from this car ? If so, can someone please tell me how ?

On other thing.... it did a quirky thing at the same time this was going on. After I put gas in and tried to start it, the 'S3' light ( automatic trans ) was flashing as I cranked the motor over, and it took 4 tries for it to start. After I got moving, the S3 light flashed a bit, then finally went off. It was a weird deal.

Any advise out there would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

it can be to many things. i suggest you take it to get the diagnostic test asap, before it leaves you stranded somwhere. you dont have to take it to the nearest acura dealer, unless you have money to give, because obviously its not much different than a local mechanic shop, except the price.

Thanks for the advise..... It does have me freaked out.
Just for kicks, is there a way to pull codes off these cars ? I'm an idiot on Acuras, but some other cars I've had in the past were easy to do if you know what to do to pull them.
Just curious... otherwise I guess it's off to the shop soon.

Yes, you can get the CEL code yourself.

Here's the link to the CEL Code chart:

And here's the link to the how-to.
Scroll past the OBD-2 codes,however.

While you're there, check out the rest of the Integra FAQ.

Lastly, welcome to HAN. Enjoy your stay.
