My short ram was a much more high-pitched noise, turned a lot of heads when I laid into it.

 

Yeah the intake does turn a few heads. I have a short ram because i am in the middle of fabbing my own ram air unit that will not throw water into my engine. I sometimes drive/plow through snows up to 20" around here so i cant have anything near the bottom of my car because it will clog. Lake effect snow is unbelieveable, you have to see it to believe it.
