ls block and b16a tranny
i just got my integra and the guy that i got it from told me it had a ls/vtec in it with a gsr tranny and i got the car and it came with a bunch of papers and of the papers was a invoice for a b16a tranny. so i was wondering if you can even have a lsbock with a b16a tranny?

b16a tranny's have lower ratio's, that means alot more acceleration. the downside is that you loose out on top speed, and probobly are revving really high at highway speeds too. revving high isnt a problem, but over time it creates more wear on your engine (because its spinning faster), and obviously it's using more gas.

Take your car to "80 mph in fifth gear" and see if it is at around 4400rpm (b16) or closer to like 4000-4200rpm (gsr). This will give you a good idea of what tranny you currently have in there.

a b16 tranny is essentually the same thing as a type-r tranny, except the LSD.
same close gear-ratios. it helps with acceleration, but you might get annoyed on the highway when its reving so high in 5th gear going 80 or so
