i'll agree, never buy another mans project... you're just asking for trouble. The only way I would ever buy another mans project would be if they'd let me test drive it to my trusted mechanic and get him to do a major inspection. I'm talking checking out every aspect of the engine! But as a general rule of thumb would be never buy another mans project!

as a person trying to sell a GSR, seems like everyone wants a car bone stock. Those typically are the cars that were more cared for. Since the "riced" out cars typically are drove by teens who drive it hard. At least thats how it appears to my.

I myself never in a thousand years would by a car that was ever boosted unless i planned on a motor swap right away. Which i would also never buy a car with a swapped motor. I would rather do it myself, pay a little more but make sure its done right and will last.

everyone seems to be repeating the same thing, never buy another mans project. that could be valuable advice in a lot of cases, dont get me wrong. ive had a lot of different cars, the last four have been integras, none of which were boosted, but i know quite a few that have boosted tegs. the gsr from what i hear has much stronger internals and will take 6 or 7 pounds without a problem. obviously give your thorough inspection, but i think the best advice i can give would be to first ask him why hes selling. i find people squirm a lil bit when they have crual intentions of dumping a p.o.s. into someone elses lap. if he has a preggo girlfriend an need a van instead, that could be a great opportunity to pick up where someone else left off on a strong project...
