Judging from previous posts it looks like you can get similar ones, I suppose you would have to make sure the connections are the same size and the struts are a similar length.

Your quote from the dealership sounds about right for OEM Honda parts. Acuraparts247.com has those parts listed for 59.74 each. That is probably the cheapest option.

I got replacement struts from the junkyard for $20, from a 1999 with 60,000 miles and they work like new. Great deal and I figure they will last a pretty good while longer since mine went out at 120,000 miles. The install is extremely simple. Good luck.

Thank you for the acuraparts247.com site. Do I need to buy two or will it be fine with only 1?

Also, Could i take 2 of a similiar car and will those maybe fit?

And how do you go about the junkyard buying?

You'll need two if both are blown and one if one is blown :P

You go to the junkyard and look for a wrecked integra, then you take out your 8mm socket and take the struts.

Yeah. After you remove the plastic dome like covering, below is like a metal C Ring clip that you have to pry up with a screwdriver to remove the strut. The top part is just a bolt. I think someone said this but its good to have a friend hold up your hatch while this is happening because it is heavy.
