Default Problems with integra please help, pretty please

I have a 96 Automatic acura integra LS and today i put it in reverse to back out from my garage as soon as i put it in drive it kinda felt ackward like it wouldnt kick into gear and it wouldnt pick up that good. So i threw it in park to see what was up and now its stuck in park!! i cannot change from park to drive or reverse, etc..

There is a lock switch right next to the automatic shift changer where you can stick the key into if i do that i have ability to change to reverse, drive neutral and so forth, i have heard if a solonoide(believe thats the spelling) fails on a auto integra it will seize or kinda of disable the transmission from changing gears, or if a fuse is out.

A couple of things i should add i have dropped the car 1.6 inches all around i put on chrome 18 inch rims, the rims are not really a rough ride BUT theres a slight noise when i drive (which is probably a very slight rub). Now my questions are i noticed my car around the hood area would slightly be a bit warm due to friction obviously because of the slight rub would this be a problem to the engine, transm etc at all???? some lady at a garage where i was going to get my alignment done last week stated those tires n rims look awfully big you might get transmission probs, would that happen????? i mean i'm buying tires and rims that anyone else is tried i assume which are valid through manufacturers standards etc. Oh and the car was heating up a lot but i found out that theres a plug like a component if you may that controls the fan in the integra that was out so we replaced that yesterday and the fans are now working...

THank you guys in advance of any help you can provide

well i've never seen any proof, but at the same time the largest rims i would put on a teg would be 17's for clearance issues, but as for the tranny it could cause a problem cuz my friend has a toyota tacoma and he put bigger tires and rims on his truck and the added weight put too much strain on the tranny so he had to replace it, when it destroyed the tranny! where as a truck tranny should be stronger than a car tranny so, the added weight of chrome 18's could easily attribute to tranny probs!
