Default 88 Integra Intermittently Won't Start

I have a 88 Integra with the following problem, it is a tough one.

When I would start the engine cold or normal running engine temp it would sometimes initially start but it wouldn't totally start, like it would sputter, I would try to feather the throttle but before you knew it the engine stopped. I would again try to start it again but it do the same thing. I would wait a few minutes and it would start right up like a champ or sometimes not. It would do this every three months or so. Now it is doing the same thing except now after a few intial trys it won't start at all, it just cranks but if I wait one hours or 4 hours and try it again it starts right up. I have checked to see if its getting spark when it fails to start at all and there is spark and I smell gas. What the HELL can it be? Any ideas?

Default Fuel Pump Relay

Check the fuel pump relay under the dash. My friends '89 Accord just had this problem. Took the dealer three days to figure out. Go find one in a junk yard and test it.

Default Fuel relay

Is this in the heat that this happens? If so then you can be sure its the relay under the dash hard to get to but an inexpensive part
