Default headers

i got a 98 gsr and the header i have now is bent against the oil pan its a dc sports 4-1 but i heard that the type r header is better. what do u guys think i just put in the type r exhaust and the type r header is 330 bucks. has any tried this before?

The type-r header has a 2.5' collecter so you'd need a new cat and exhuast that is also 2.5' piping.

I remember seeing type-r headers going for more then $330 so that's pretty good price.

dosent the dc sports have a 2.5 collector

There are two different DC sports 4-1 headers. One is the "jdm" and has a 2.5" collector. The "normal" one has a 2.25" collector.

Default Have headers

Hey, i have some stainless steel Hp racing 4-2-1 headers that aren't being used. just in case you wanted something better cheaper lmk

my brother had this header along with the heatshields and matching 2.5" cat and exhaust on his otherwise stock 96 gsr. from the butt dyno it made decent mid range and kept pulling to redline.

I made a decent amount of power with the JDM ITR 4-1 and a carsound 2.5" cat. Good upgrade for the money IMO.
