Default whub ub ub ub ub =(

I've got this annoying low pulsing 'du du du du du du du" sound coming from my car... can't hear it unless you turn the radio off and actually listen for it, but it bothers me hardcore...

I just had all new brakes put on, as well as my tires balanced, rotated, and the pressure adjusted... so it shouldn't be that...

any other thoughts on what it could be? It sounds just like a warp or something... maybe someone just effed up when they were rotating/balancing my shit? Not sure..

if anyone else has ideas as to what it could be, much apreesh.

shops are notorious for fucking things up. that said, i would start with the basics. check/adjust tire pressure, pull off all the wheels and retorque the lugs. and just give everything a look over (tires, wheels, brakes, suspension bits) to make sure nothing is obviously wrong. after all that is done, if you're still getting the 'du du du', take it back to the shop and tell them that once again, they fucked up, and to fix it.

btw, are you getting the noise only at certain speeds, or constantly? does it get louder with speed? does it change depending on steer direction? let me know.

also do you know if it comes from the rear or the front of the car, and maybe from which side?

Sounds like it's coming from the front passenger area, but it's just suttle (sp?) enough that i'm unsure...

I also think the sound changes with the speed i'm going, but again... it's suttle, so I can't really tell... but I'll try to get that figured out.. i'll re-check my pressure, and retorque the wheels....

When they did the wheel balancing, where did they attach the weights? On the outside lip... or on the inside face?

If they used foam tape to attach them to the inside face of the rim, it's possible that one or more of the weights have fallen off. It's happened to me once; the shop re-balanced that rim and fixed it in about 15 mins at no charge.
