mine was doing that too, except overtime it would take longer and longer to get away from the C side. my thermostat was stuck open. you can drive it like that for a while. i didnt suffer any change in mileage, but i still replaced it just to be on the safe side.

Problem solved. i replaced the thermostat. turns out it was faulty, permanetly opened... i notice the old thermo was 78 celcuis (172 F), the new one i bought (which the pepboys person showed me was for my exact model) was 82 celcius (180F). Whose wrong?

its normal...you don't want it past the middle...then your car is overheating..if its past that..
