What should the tire pressure be set to in my tires?

I need to go get my wheels balanced, and i'm gonna just have the rotate and air them up while they're at it... but i've heard a lot of people say that people over do it when they're just putting air in...
(don't remember who it was that said it, but i recently remember reading someone say "every time I have someone fill my tires I end up letting out about 12lbs of pressure" or something like that.)

So what should I have the tire pressure set to?

Stock GSR Rims, with generic all-season tires, if that makes a difference.

35 at the most. 30-35 is your best bet. I run 34/35 in mine daily.

 

Check your max psi on your tire. I usually go minus 3-5 of that.

They're Dunlop Studless,

195/55r15 85q (I think it was a q, lil weird lookin' tho)
Max Press. 300kpa (44psi)

So I should have them put like 39-40psi into the tires?

 

between 32-35 psi

Christ, you guys run an insane amount of pressure.

:noes: 40psi is way too high.

Above 35 psi, ride quality is horrible.
Tire wear is concentrated on the center of the tire.
The contact patch is reduced, and a savage pothole can ruin your day.

The Owner's Manual recommends 29 psi front/rear if I remember correctly.
On stock tires, I would stay within 5 psi of their recommendation.

Since my suspension setup is already pretty firm, I run 30 front, 28 rear.
On interstate treks, I go up to 32/30 and soften up the shocks a bit.
This is on 205/45/16s, however.

 

35 all day, at the track I dont have skinnies so i put the rear at 40.

 

ended up having em 35front, 33 rear... or vice versa... i just woke up.
