Default My cold air intake what a pity and funny story....You might learn a thing or 2 here..

So I took off my CAI the other day to wash my car. Well, when I put the CAI back on I forgot to screw it in tight. So the other day I was driving to the mall and all the sudden I heard a clunk when I pulled into the parking lot. I looked in the rear view and see an object on the ground. I was gonna stop and check it out but my brother told me that I ran over a can. I thought to myself that I am a pretty damn good driver and if there is a can in the middle of the parking lot I would have seen it to avoid it. Anyways so I continue on the day. Later that night I was gonna come out to check out my oil level. The next thing I notice that my CAI was gonna. Immediately I know exactly what happpened. So at 3AM, I drove back to the mall parking lot. I was just curious to see and perhaps maybe it was still there. Well, I be damned, it was laying there by the curb...but really messed up...check out the picture. Anyways I just figure that I share the story so that we could all laugh together instead of me feeling stupid for myself....

i'd open up the head and make sure everything is clean... all you need is a little pebble to be lodged somewhere and let go for your entire engine to die

That K&N filter is durable as hell. I am gonna savage this filter until I have some money to get a new one. K&N filter is life time warranty. I wonder if I could get another one as a free replacement.

good story. yeah surprisingly, that fitler still looks like you can use it. as long as you still have some of your intake pipe, you are good to go for a while.
