Default More torque!!!

Hi all!

Newbie here and lots of info. on this great site! Looking forward to learning alot from all of your suggestions and experiences.

Anyway, I'm looking into adding more torque to my 99 GS but still want to be able to pass the DMV's required smog tests . Is there anyway get around this and still stay "smog legal"?

It's not much, but here's my set-up thus far:

Injen Short Ram Air Intake
Comptech Axleback muffler
NOLOGY Hot wires
NOLOGY Powercore PC-10

Wondering what the best thing to go for more highend power that won't burn a big hole in my pocket.

I was told that this NOLOGY set-up works well with the DENSO IK16 Iridium spark plugs so that'll be my next buy. What do you fellas think?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

If you want more torque and power definitely save money for a good turbo kit...no doubt about that...

one mod that I have heard from a couple of different people that would boost your torque noticeably would be an MSD SCI or SCI-L (SCI-L is the SCI with an adjustable rev limiter) ignition control module. Of course, to maximize this, you would have to get an upgraded distributor rotor/cap kit and an external ignition coil.

then again, if you REALLY want to boost your power/torque (heh no pun intended), go for a turbo kit, but get it installed by a really good group of people, unless of course you are one of those people :-P

I think that putting in a lighter flywheel would do some good and give u a little more torque to the wheels.

Yup. h:

PM me if you are interested in learning more. F/I is the only way to get relatively cheap torque.
