Default Help!!! My teg just stopped running....

I got a 94 LS with 171K. I was drivin down the road then suddently my car sputters and dies on me. Wont restart. I checked everything i could with the tools i have. Fluids, timing belt, plugs, wires, cap. just the usual stuff. Could it be my fuel pump? when i switch the key to on i can hear something humming under the hood. the car just cranks but will not fire up. The Maintenance Req. light is flashing but i dont know wut for. I really need my car back on the road ASAP but i need some help, any suggestions would be really helpful.

you can check for spark by removing a spark plug, plugging it into the plug wire, then laying it on the valve cover. then if you try to start the car you can see the spark. also you can remove a plug wire and place a screw driver in it and lay it on the valve cover and try to start. you should see it spark then. these are two tips for checking for spark. if you are getting spark check for fuel in the injectors.

You can just unplug the wire and have the rubber boot touching the VC, it should show spark.

check for fuel pressure at the fuel filter would be the best place to start.

keep in mind that even though you are getting a spark, it could just be a weak spark and not enough to ignite the air/fuel mix in the cylinder.
