i have a 91' teg LS the enging has 1240000 on it and thats barely boken in. but the enging is burning so much oil i think i need to put new rings in but the oil is coming out of the exhaust. the oil is usually just pouring out when you are accelerating but then agian i read the plugs and they were all in good condition a nice tan color all across so i dont know what it could be

my friends car does the same thing, Do a compression test and that should tell you if your piston rings are going bad or you can get a leak down test. Is there alot of smoke coming out of your exhaust?

 

theres not alot of smoke but there is a noticable amount when u step on the accelerator

DID YOU MEAN 124,000 CAUSE YOU SAID 1,240,000

 

maybe you muffler is broken, check that then take it in to Midas
