how is a turbo timer connected to a turbo kit?

is i know it's supposed to controll the ammount of boost, but where is it and how is it connected to the turbo?

is it the blowoff valve or wastgate?

the turbo timer allows your car to run for however long you want it to without the keys. this allows the turbo to properly cool down and expand the turbos life or so i have read.

As stated above, a Turbo Timer does not control boost.

A boost controller controls boost.

A Turbo Timer merely allows the car to run at idle for a specified period of time (usually 30sec to 1minute or so) to allow the turbo to properly cool before turning it off, thus, increasing the longevity of the turbo itself.

It isn't connected to the turbo at all. It is tapped into the ignition switch wires.

You could even run a turbo timer on an N/A car if you had a killer setup that would benefit from cooling the oil before shutting the car off.

turbo timer does NOT control boost in ANY way. it is also not connected to your TURBO in ANY WaY. it plugs into your computer and it lets the car run for a set amount of time after you turn your car off.

it sounds to me like the people who installed your alarm should be fired.
