Default Brake Hose

Well i was driving down the road and got cut off i hit the brakes and the pedal hit the floor and i had to slam into 2nd and pull the handbrake. i drive home (slowly) to find that my front right brake hose (from the brake line to the caliper) has ruptured . i have the service manual and it looks like an easy fix but if that were the case i wouldnt be on here now would i? manual says to use a 10mm wrench to disconnect the hose from the line but that nut is rusted to all hell and the 10mm is rounding it any suggestions on how to get this off? (yes i have tried WD40) i already paid 45 for the hose i dont wanna pay a mechanic 50 an hr if i can just do it myself.

Any help is appreciated thanks in advance.

On hoses that old, your best freind is a vice-grips and lots of penetrating oil.

Don't use an open end wrench. Those fittings are usually brass. I would recommend buying a 10mm flare nut wrench. It wraps around the nut further to prevent rounding it off.

You will want to replace all your brake hoses, probably the metal fittings(nuts) too
