30 + Hp $9.00?
Have anyone of you guys seen those Performance chips on ebay, they say shit like 20 - 30 more hp for 9$ and 15 min to install and all that, what do you guys think, is it worth it or is it a scam, and how would that even work anyway?
Avoid eBay chips like the plague.
In fact, avoid any 'no-name" performance part that makes unverified claims that are too good to be true.

I confess...I bought one in the middle of the night, half asleep off of ebay. Bunghole took my money and I never saw the chip! And what about those vortec things you stick into your intake and is suspose to increase hp by increasing airflow....is that as stupid as the chip? I saw some for sale at Kragens yesterday....but I resisted.

If this thing you saw at Kragen is at all similar to the "Tornado™" fuel saver -- it's an absolute POS in terms of power production. If they do anything, those artfully designed intake obstructions rob power.
Avoid them...like the plague. [I had to say it.

Pumping more gas into the engine actually hurts performance unless you have more air to go with it. Yes, thats right, too much gas and not enough air causes the air to be super saturated and makes it harder for the fuel to explode, thus causing you to lose power.
