Argh...Battery issue
As some of you may know, I am running an optima yellow top battery. After sitting for a long period of time (say, 4+ hours) it fails to start. It's been exhibiting this behavior for the last 2 days. At first, I thought it was the alternator, but When I disconnected the battery the car continued to run.
That leads me to believe it's the battery.
Also, I am running 2 amps + a head unit, vtec controller and my fuel/air & Volt gauges.
Doesn't seem like too much load....
Guess's, thoughts?
Thanks In Advance

Optimas can take way more of a beating than that..
My dad's escalade can run with his 1000w amp and subs going without the engine running for 45min flat before being drained one of the dual-yellowtops he runs...
Wasn't it you saying that you had your battery routed into your trunk?
I'm willing to bet there's something wrong between point a and point b.

Me thinks I figured it out...I think I am running more amps than the alternator can supply. I am not running capacitors, and my volt meter drops when the bass kicks...anyone know of a higher output alternator that will work for my teg? Stock is 90...
That shouldn't cause start failure... especially with a decent battery.
Make sure the amp itself is turning off when you turn the car off?
That happened to my dad's amp, it wasn't shutting off, so it was draining the battery.

Well, i also noticed that it has been about 2 weeks since I put my system in. My alternator only supplies 90, I am running (if I did the math right) 105. If the alternator can't keep up than the battery get more and more drained because the alt is not recharging the battery as quilky as I am depleting it with my subs....
I also checked the amps...all the lights are off...it sure looks powered off.
