Gauges
what brand should i go with? which are the most acc. also if i get the apexi vtec controller and the fuel mang. can i still get uber and put it in. or is the fuel mang. in the vtec controler?
|
VAFC and stand-alone EMS systems do not mix. Run one or the other - stand-alone EMS's are much more efficient and tunable.
What gauges are you looking to get? Depending on which ones, Autometer makes decent gauges based on the price. If you want GOOD! gauges, get Delfi, Greddy, Blitz, or Apexi. |
ok. so now i know i cant have both a afc and a ems. does the ems allow you to have a comp in the car so you can view everything going on while driving? i want to moniter everything from my comp or touch screen and from my gauges.
anyone know how i can do this? |
If you have the real time tuning software. the AEM will allow you to and the Hondata will too if you buy the romulator. Uberdata can as well if you get a realtime hardware/software like Ostrich..
You have good ideas, but I don't know of any tuning software that offers touch-screen interfaces yet. You can watch your logging real-time with all tuning softwares these days, I believe. :) hih |
is ostrich a program? how do i go about getting started with uberdata? where can i read up about it?
thanks for the replys blake |

thanks for the site. this will give me something to do till i get a chip in the mail.
does it explain itself or do u have to guess at it? |
It explains itself. If you cannot grasp the basic concepts on the site to help you get started, you should probably not be tuning in the first place.
It is an excellent site and all my research for my DIY uberdata tuning was based off of it. |
i am just trying to learn so i can do my own ecu and then help my friends out.
