Default Determining motor's health

A local guy has a 99' GSR that he crashed and the suspension is all messed up thus non-drivable. If i were to buy his car, how can I check how healthy the engine is? I mean... I cant drive it, I cant take it to a mechanic, what would your recommend?

Well look for any visiable outside damage, to houses etc... It is a 99 so my guess is it wouldn't be that bad since it is a newer GSR motor. Find out how he drove the car
