Hey guys i'm new to this forum...i bought a 94 rs manual....just about 40% of the time i can't get into 3rd gear...its grinds and pops out. what could it be? the shift linkage? of the synchos? tranny? please help!

 

I had the same thing happen to my 91 crx si and my 92 integra gs-r. It was the syncro that went bad for 2nd and 3rd gears in both of them and it cost me about 900.00 each time to repair. They told me it was from speed shifting.

 

Yep, my second gear is doing that. If I pull up and shift slowly it goes in gear fine. Do you have a short shifter? I do, so I'm not sure if that adds to the problem or not. I've been told its my shift linkage and my second gear synchro. Keep us posted on what happens...I'll be interested to know what I gotta do.

 

check your trans fluid. Only put in honda-acura trans fluid it takes about 2.3 quarts.
how many miles does your teggy have?
