Default Integra w/ a swapped engine!

hey!
As you guys know i am looking for a gsr but i have seen a few integras w/ h22's or type-r engines. Would you guys think it would be a good idea to get a car like that? Would it pass emissions? Should i just stick w/ getting a gsr since im a newb to hondas/acuras?

GSR engine = better than the h22 or type-r engine if you're going to do engine work, because they can handle better compression rates...

note: i'm still a noob, but I think that's right.. :P

dont buy someone else's project. thats how i look at it. there could be problems with the swap you dont know about. and since you are a self described honda noob, you will have nothing but headaches if something does go wrong with it.

Exactly. Unless you are confident in the reliablity and smog legality of a swapped Integra..steer clear. You can wind up paying the price for the previous owner's neglect.

I agree. You don't know how good of a job they did with the swap. Just find a virgin gsr wit low miles and u'll be fine. I mean yeah it sounds nice buyin a car with a swap in it b/c u dont have to do anything, but i wouldn't take the chance.

I think that's what he was trying to say.

That's just another myth. It's been proven that the h22 is only about 20lbs heavier than a b-series motor.

whats the fun in an engine swap if you dont have to change the engine mounts and damn near everything else about that engine bay?
