yes it'll work. you can get one from ebay or www.locustom.com. the conversion is extremely simple

 

i just had the same thing happen....u can buy a universal mast/motor/whatever u need from any auto zone or even wal mart which is where i went and it was like under 20 bucks

Yeah you can get a Shark Attack 2 with antenna booster for like $25 shipped to your house which looks like the S2000 antenna but it is A LOT easier to install than having to create your own harness to support the S2000 antenna.

It took about half an hour to install and i actually got better reception with mine than my stock antenna, but that is a controversal subject because many ppl have different opinions.

I will probably be adding the Shark Attack 2 to my 97 LS so if you really want a stock antenna i can sell you mine, but i'm not sure how soon i am going to change the antenna b/c i go back to college in a month and can't take my car.

Oh yeah, you get the Shark Attack 2 from a company called LoCustoms and they have a website but i am too lazy to look it up.

 

When I bought my car I had a stock cassete player and when I would turn it on you would hear the antenna motor going but the antenna never went up.
Since then I put in a cd player and nothing happens with the antenna, I dont care tho im still getting good reception on the radio.

I disconnected my stock antenna, because it makes a teg look like a RC car.... but i don't get radiostations because it's always down

I wanna do that conversion when I get a chance.
