Default tranny problems

wut up playas... i currently have a 91' b16 tranny w/ lsd in my 97 teg n im having problems wit it ... first im having problems shifting into 5th gear, sometimes it'll go in just fine n other times i'll be there for like days just tryin to jam it into gear.... then the other problem is it will pop out of gear... these 2 probs are one in the same, if it pops out ill have 2 deal with problem #1 not goin into gear, some people have told me its my syncros others say its my linkage, oh and my other problem wit my tranny is that sometimes when im drivin, my CAR will stutter like pausing sorta in a way, i was wondering if anyone can tell me what the fuck is wrong wit my shit and if you have any suggestions

If the transmission is popping out of gear, then it's likely to be an internal problem that requires a partial or full rebuild. Check the trans fluid level and at the same time, feel for metallic grit in the trans fluid. If the syncro teeth are damaged, the trans fluid will probably feel gritty.

The second question?
I've never I had my bowel movements stutter, so I can't speak to that problem.
I'd go see a proctologist...since it sounds painful.

But...if you're talking about your car, then I'd like to know what's going on when the car stutters. Does it happen at or near idle...or when you're rolling along at highway speeds and try to accelerate?

If it is popping outta gear that is a sign that you need fluid. I know you might think it's stupid but just trust me. Hopefully your syncros are still good. Also DO NOT try to jam it into 5th that will just mess things up more. Goodluck.

i checked it n it had fluid, i even added lucas to it and it still pops outta gear. i dont really jam it into gear it just uses a lil more force to do so,... the stuttering happens just outta nowhere, like ill be driving n then a lil stutter will happen n im not even tryin 2 accelerate im just rollin at driving speeds.... n i really dont wanna do any rebuilds, would a diagnostic be able to tell me wuts wrong or no?

If the trans problem is as bad as it sounds, I'm confident that a rebuild is going to be needed. There are no sensors that monitor the condition of the syncros in a manual transmission. So a diagnostic scan won't do a damn thing.

On the second problem... it's either fuel or spark that causing the problem. Assuming your spark plugs are in good shape.. I'd run a 1/3 bottle of Sea-Foam fuel system cleaner in your next tank of gas. If the problem persists, I'd check the distributor cap & rotor. Lastly, you could have a dying fuel injector that isn't delivering the right amount of fuel.

Are there any modifications to the fuel system on your motor? And how did you convert from OBD-2 back to OBD-1?

no there arent any mods to my fuel system, the only mods i have on my car, is a intake n a catback exhaust...if the odb-2 to odb-1 conversion ur talkin bout is bout my tranny , well i udes a ENJO hydro to cable conversion kit, and just swapped all the items from my stock tranny to the b16 tranny... i think there were 2 sensors n this thing that went in the back by where the axles go in, i think but not sure this part was for the tach....

I'm talking about engine management and the electrical connections between the 1991 motor and the 1997 chassis.

I have a difficult time getting my 5th gear to go in every now and then also but I found out that if I push the clutch in and release it slowly it will go right in 5th easily.
