Default Knock sensor

Sorry guys I don't know where this belongs but I am looking into the knock sensor and I guess I need one for my LSVTEC into my 95 tegra. Shmoo Was telling me there was a post on here about getting past the Knock sensor without having to Chip ecu or install a knock sensor. Can someone please help me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talk to your cousin who is running the same set-up with out a knock sensor from your previos post "Weak VTEC", I'm sure he could help, his car runs like a beast right...

If you have that spare knock sensor hanging around or you can get one for cheap, just ground it out and have it mounted somewhere inside the car. Then, just run the wire into the ECU.

Yeah your right. But all we did was install it and that was it. Nothing modded. You don't have to be a smartass!

Easy guys, let's take it down a notch.

I was going to suggest the Hondata ECU route.. h:.. but grounding out the factory knock sensor is cheaper.

Yes it is, even if you purchase the sensor new at the dealership for $170. Uberdata could be another route since you can shut off the knock sensor and possibly do some minor tuning.

Yeah your right. but I have a free knock sensor and I now have a chipped spoon p28. Hopefully that will solve my problems. let's see what happends tomm.

I'd personally rather run the knock sensor. It's a good thing to have, especially if you want to run boost or higher compression.
