Default Major Issues With My Teg?????????

ok, so i was driving down the road everything was running fine then it practically died out of nowhere , the car started backfiring and sputtering and it almost seemed like it was misfiring at idle , everytime i tried to move, it would almost stall out and backfire, i though my timing belt was the issue... if anyone has any possibly reason in to why this happend that would be great thanks

How many miles on the car..and what's the Model Year, please.
Any "Check Engine" light codes?

It could be a dying fuel pump /pump relay, main relay, etc.

im almost positive its the timing belt, i just took off the valve cover and the belt was able to slide back and forth on the and appeard to be a little loose, also when i cranked it over the belt flexed upward between the 2 cam gears, for the record i drive a 91 integra ls special with 60,000 on the engine and tranny and 200,000 on the actual body the engine is out of a GSR integra

Sounds like the timing belt tensioner to me, too.
If that's the cause, you're damned lucky the timing belt hasn't snapped.

Remove the rest of the plastic cover on the far right side of the engine and visually inspect the tensioner. I bet that it has failed, causing the belt to go slack.

If it is the tensioner, then I would replace it, the timing belt and the water pump. You cannot afford to have the timing belt fail while the motor is running...because pistons and valves will collide if it snaps.
