Default oem antenna replacement

I've removed my factory antenna because it is not working correctly. I need to get a new one, and I want a "stock" - looking antenna. My #1 goal is ease of installation, so I want one that is as close to oem as possible. My 2nd goal is to not pay $230 - $300 for one of these. I want a fair deal.

Anyone have anyone I can call? Anybody got any links or websites to help me find one?

Any/all help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

maybe the junk yard or off ebay...the s2k antenna really doesn't look bad on the integra either but i understand you wanting to stay with the oem atenna at the same time

I just purchased the OEM mast and installed it. If you can hear the motor whirring when the radio is turned on and off, chances are your motor is fine, you just need a new mast. The ones off ebay work wonderfully and are about $15 for a new mast.

To install it, just remove that metal thing holding the assembly on, pull the old mast out with the radio on, and then put the new one in and turn the radio off. Make sure the teeth are facing toward the back of the car when you put it in. Put the metal thingy back on and you are set.

Unless you have luck like mine and every minor job ends up being a little more complicated then it should have been. I had part of the strip break off in the motor, then you get to take the antenna motor out, take off the cover and remove the broken piece before installing the new mast.

just pull out the carpeting on the side of the antenna and use common sense to figure out what to take out. its a pretty straight foward job that requires little skill

You don't even need to open the trunk to replace the mast.

The motor is a completely different story...
