Default MAP trouble

well i think that my map went. the car would start and just die out. the CEL came on once and blink 3 which is map. when i would try to drive it the car would not idle and just die out and would jerk when i drive. its weird because when i would drive it there would be a lag and when i would press on the gas there would be no response untill a few seconds then it would go.
Does any one know what is wrong is it the map? so yesterday i purchased the map sensor controller from jackson racing and going to buy a missing link.

Thanks in advanced!!!!

Check all the wiring from the map to the ECU.

Are you still running that ghetto ass emanage? That may also be the problem.

you map isnt working. verify sens ground and power to it via the plug key on engine off. verify you have a good vaccumm hose to the correct port. verify you havent spliced some wires for some aftermarket bolonga.

well i just bought the map sensor controller from jr and installed it the other day and it came with a small missing link and i have to take out the relay and the pressure switch. so i put the missing link and put the vacum line to it and installed the map controller and took it for a spin and and around 2nd gear hitting boost the CEL would turn on. so i tried every thing and finally took out the link and bypassed the vacum line and have the map regular.so when i tested the car the cel would not turn on and the car would work fine. can i run it this way
