i searched through the posts and didnt see anythign on this so here goes...im turboing my car this winter....10-20 psi boost and i want to know if id be ok have the apexi ws2 exhaust on my car or wont it be good enough....any help appreciated

 

it wont. for 10-20 psi get something a little bigger. i think the ws2 pipe is like 2.5 inches wide. plus the canister would restrict some exhaust flow. hope u got some new internals too for that much boost

 

The piping is 60mm or 2.36" for you metrically retarded. I would suggest a Thermal 3" turbo exhaust for running that much boost. Also, the WS2 isn't a good choice because the piping is coated mild steel, so it will rust quicker than a full stainless exhaust like Greddy SP2. You also want a straight through muffler design like diablo mentioned and the WS2 is chambered.

It will definitely be an upgrade from stock, but it will restrict exhaust flow at that boost level, so something bigger like I mentioned is probably a better choice.

You should also be worrying about either a test pipe or high flow cat and a wide downpipe as well to eliminate any bottlenecks in exhaust flow.

That is just a turbo style muffler. If your piping is still 60mm or stock, it won't do anything for you.

It won't be as good as a straight through design, but it isn't as restrictive as the stock cambered design. If sound is a worry, believe me, a turbo will quiet a straight through design really well. As soon as it spools, all you can hear is the engine and turbo.
