Holy! I have a 01 and I usually get around 26 mpg. Do I need a tune-up? I barely take my car to vtec and it's mostly city driving. 400 on a tank? That's insane.

I can usually push it and get around 320 before I start to get nervous and go fill up. Usually only takes about 10.5 gallons so I guess I could push further but why take that chance. Running out of gas sucks.

your cars are fine, mine is just freakishly good on gas mileage. you dont need "tune ups", especailly if you get over 24 mpg or have a new car. my car is 7 years old.

I guess since everyone is giving their stats....

I get no less than 300 miles on a tank. When I fill up, I put in about 10-10.5 gals. (I'm not that lead footed) And whenever possible, I lug it around in 4th...anything above 25 mph on level ground is fourth gear territory, unless I'm in need of some boost.

i think i usually put in around 10 gallons. i use the premium grade gas. does that make any difference? i would love to get more gas mileage. so is it better to shift at very low rpms?

Absolutely. You don't want to bog the engine though.
