There is a threaded bolt like thing on the top of the shocks that has a nut on it and can be turned to adjust the bolt like part up or down. My question is what is the purpose of this bolt and what is a recommended hight or thread count sticking out of the shock? I hope someone understands what i mean.
Thanks in advance, Luc

yes the middle where the konis adjust. On the kybs they adjust in the same spot but with a screw driver. I will take a picture later maybe that will help out. thanks
No spec on the height of the threaded portion just the torque on the bolt. Something like 35ft/lbs but don't quote me. Problem is that the shaft turns as you tighten it so you have to keep the shaft stationary as you torque the nut...using a regular socket on the torque wrench it can't be done. Probably some special socket that has a cut-out in it that allows you to use a wrench or allen key to hold the shaft stationary.
The purpose of this bolt is to keep the shock/spring assembly together.
