Default Wrong Clutch! Help anyone?

I'm selling my 1994 Acura Integra and the clutch went out. So I go to advanced auto parts and buy a Perfection Clutch MU476941B, they say it will work. It's the wrong clutch. I call them up and they say it should work the measurements are fine and everything they know says the clutch will work. I on the other hand have the mechanic saying it's the wrong clutch. I wish I had a tranny drop so I could of just done it myself. But the interesting thing the advanced auto part guys says when he goes over making sure the car is the same, he says you have a 94, integra, LS, V-Tec. I say no, I don't have the V-Tec he says you must because they don't make clutches for an acura integra after 94 unless for a V-tec. Every single clutch part they have for the LS the book says will work for a v-tec. Now is this just because they work for both or is this the problem?

I'm not going to wade through that post...:a:

What car do you have?

Which clutch do you have?

And please use punctuation.

Is there a difference in the measurements between the LS and LS Vtec? Because they only had clutc parts that fit the 1994-2001 RS/LS that would work in a Vtec.

:squint: Stop using the term "LS VTEC".

From the factory, there IS NO LS/VTEC. Period.

There were two motor types used for the third gen Integra.
• The RS, LS and GS from 1994 to 2001 used the B18B NON-VTEC MOTOR.
• The GSR used the B18C1 VTEC motor. (The Type R used a modified version of the GSR's motor.)

Since you have a 94 Integra LS, your car was equipped with the B18B motor.

If the clutch manufacturer sold you a clutch for the GSR motor, they screwed up the order and they need to fix it.

Now the product code you gave lists a clutch for the B18B.

If that's what they actually shipped to you, then you've got to talk with your mechanic.

I thought the clutches were interchangeable.

So did I.. :dunno: Something is up. :eh:

The only thing I can think of is a problem with the transmission input shaft splines. h: If someone swapped in a different trans..:loco:

Or it could be a 1DI 0T error with the "mechanic"

Well, the trannies are interchangeable anyways, so the spline is the same.

Then without looking at the car, I'm stumped. h:
