Default Poor Mileage woohoo!...

Ok so here it is my mileage has shit the bed i havent used a full tank yet and im at 100miles at half tank...the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor are all new....my only concern could be the air filter (which made me buy a cold air intake woohoo ...clogged cat, or a busted o2 sensor....whatcha guys think? could the air filter be that big of a decrease in mileage, i was really just looking for a reason to buy a cold air haha!...post back

if you arent getting enough air in, the car runs rich - waste of gas. get fuel injector cleaner and run it through your next full tank. if you feel like it, replace the o2 sensor - $90 from Bosch i believe.

pull up to pump, get out of car, open gas tank cap, open fuel injector cleaner bottle, dump into an almost empty tank, empty bottle, throw away, put gas pump nozzle into tank hose, pull trigger. that is all.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.
Don't rely on the gas gauge.

Do the math instead.

Use your trip meter to log the miles traveled from your last fillup.
Divide those miles by the actual amount of gas purchased.
You'll get better results than you think.

By the time my needle nears the half-way point on the scale, I have about 100-110 miles on the trip meter. But by the time I get down near empty, I've only burned 8 or 9 gallons out of more than 13 gallons total capacity. The gas gauge is horribly inaccurate.

Long story short, I'm getting the same feedback as you are... but the math calculates out to 26 miles per gallon.

You're getting better mileage than you think.
