$40 for Labor, and $1100 for the glass on a 98 LS. Insurance covers it, but still.

rear wiper? defroster? antenna (not sure if that was in the glass or not) my friend had to do that on his integra, youre better off going to a junkyard and buying a whole new rear hatch. he got one for 300$

I have a whole rear hatch with glass, you can buy it if you want. I'll sell it cheaper than $1100

I think it would be the dealer ripping your gf off.

Not too sure if you just want the piece of class but it looks like you could buy everyhing on this page with 1100.

If the insurance is paying for it then, yeah it's going to cost that much. They jack up the price if they know the insurance is paying for it. If you tell them you're not going through your insurance then it's cheaper. At least that's what happenned to me when I had to get my glass replaced.

the other thing is that glass has an extream curve to it. plus the defrost and the fact they can make a quick buck off the insurance co.

I'm pretty sure the expense is because it's such a LARGE piece of glass, w/ complex shape. It's also a very STRONG piece of glass. I've seen pics of Integras after being in horrible wrecks, and the rear glass was still intact (even one that got rear ended at 60mph, rear glass still intact). How exactly did this one get broken?
