So a few days ago a friends boyfriend jumped on my hood and left 4 or 5 huge dents in it. I thought 'Hey I could come out of this with some money' of course this thought came after I smacked him around a little (His girlfriend, my friend, laughed). If the repair cost is more than a new hood I would just get a new hood. I need to get over to a shop and have them take a gander at it. How much do OEM hoods run at? I don't want a carbon fiber cause I have an auto and that would just be kinda stupid and I'd get alot of beef. I checked on eBay but they're just jammed full of CF and fiberglass hoods.

 

OEM hoods from the dealer are usually around $450 unpainted....check junkyards for some, and the classified forum on this site.

 

Holy crap. I hope if I do get one I can find one at a junk yard.

 

i'm sure there's alot of people who sell ur oem hoods, since people buy cf hoods?

 

go to your local Acura dealer, and ask them in print for the quote of a new hood, painted. Give it to your stupid monkey friend. Make him pay for it.

Hmm. Thanks guys, I'll remember you guys when I get the money and stuff. I haven't had the time to go get a quote. I'm not even sure if he'd pay me, but he does go to my church so I get alot of people to give him talks and a few to give him beatings too. If anyone had a green hood that would be best.
