thanks snoopy. i think i am going to go with bensons. if i get it resleeved will i be able to rack up the rpms in the block? i know i need internals. but will the block take it?

only rev it as high as it will make power to. upgraded internals, balance the rotating assembly, and it will handle high rpm's.

If you have cams that can make power to 10k rpm and valvesprings/retainers to match, you can rev it that high with a good set of rods, and a balanced/weight matched rotating assembly...rods/pistons weight matched, balanced rotating assembly. The engine's gotta breathe, so you'll probably want an aftermarket intake manifold, and a port and polish job on the head.
