Default AEM Intake

I have read some topics on this, but I couldn't really find a straight answer for my paticular question.

I have a 96 Integra, and I'm not sure if I should get a SRI or a CAI. I bought a CAI AC Autotechnic, but it sucks (don't get one) and I did some research on this forum, and I was reading how some cars are better with short ram, and some are better with the other.

So what do you suggest? The CAI is $295.00 and the SRI is $70.00 on eBay.

Also, does this look good for the short ram. I don't want to get ripped off from eBay. lol

And yes, I do have an RS... unfortunately, but hey, it's what I got.

Thanks for the help.

What sucks so much about your current intake? They all give about the same gains, so why dish out the extra money for the same thing?

Because they sent me the wrong intake. It wasn't for the RS and doesn't fit, and I just want an AEM.

Can someone help me though, and tell me if I should get SRI or CAI?

depends what you want.. you race more on the istate or from a stop.. AEM/DC also has carb legal things on em so when you get a sticker or what not you wouldn't get denied cause you dont have carb legal things.. hehe..CAI if you dont have to worry about RAIN all the time with big puddels.

I prefer the characteristics of the SRIs. You can do a search and find out why I prefer them.

Go with the SRI. Cheaper and there is no chance of hydrolocking. I don't think $200 more for 1-2 hp extra (if you are lucky) is worth that.

I wish I had the money for even an eBay sri. I have the stock icebox minus the resonator so its really loud.

You aren't missing out on much. For $65, it isn't even worth the miniscule amount of HP you gain. It is mostly noise, and it seems like you have already acheived that effect. h:
