i have kumho ecsta supra 712's in 205/50/15

i like them, they hold on nicely, handle well in wet conditions but i wouldnt dare drive them in snow, got surprised a few times when it was snowing and i feared for my life.

only complaint ive heard from them is short tread life but i dont drive my car everyday so i havent really noticed.

when i had my civic, i was running Sumitomo SRIXON-4's i believe 195-60-14 maybe 195-65-14. i loved em, great all season tire, the traction in rain was unreal and in snow, i never had any trouble either.

The Ecstas are a good tire considering the price and performance. I have had them on both my 17 inch and 15 inch rims and they handle well but they don't last very long.

You will also notice that if you have any out of spec toe or camber, the tire wears out incredibly fast around the edges. Make sure you get an alignment after getting the tires.

i just got a set of Avon M500's and there pretty tight. Been satisfied with the dry and wet performance but i have only had um for about a week so i cant really give a in depth opinion about them. 71$ a tire at tirerack.com for 195/55/15

I had dunlop sp sport on 15" rims. They really gripped. Any tire that has good traction will wear fast as it is made of soft rubber. If you want something that will grip well on the street look at the traction rating on the tire itself. "A" being the best. If you want to take your car to the track buy some slicks. Also don't get huge rims with low profile tires if your looking for traction. Your tire needs some sidewall to crimp and get good traction off the line.

You should always get an alignment when you get tires. IMHO, the Kumho's mentioned above sort of sucked ass after they had about 10,000 miles on them, to the point of probably not being safe. I am sold on Yokohama tires, they are high quality, and while they wear relatively quickly, they were consistent in their performance.
