Default Could it be the govenor???

In 5th gear my rpm range will not go past 4k. When my car use to be a auto it also did this in D4. But if I put it in D3 I could get up too about 120 MPH at 6k rpm i din't want to push it any more so I never went faster. Some times it does'nt stop at 4k rpm usually when I'm shifting faster. I find this kinda weird, and the only thing I can think of is that their is a govenor. If it is how do I take it off.

Drive your car into a brick wall at 120mph. That should do the trick, be sure to wear your seat belt though. jk

Really though I find your threads worthless.

Tell me, have you read the Terms Of Service?
Have you listened to anything that we have posted in response to your questions?

I doubt it highly. :a:

1) There is no governor. The limiting factor is aerodynamic drag.
2) The factory speedometer is inaccurate by 5-7 mph at those speeds.
3) You had no business driving that fast on a public road. Period.
4) As per the Terms of Service, I have all I need to close this thread and issue warning points.

If the car did have a governer, taking it off would be illegal as far as I'm assuming. *goes off to actually read the Terms of Service.*

It's not a matter of opinion or negativity.
It's an issue of enforcing policy.

It's very frustrating to answer when you ask the same question over and over again (ex: three threads on cold air intakes). It's like you're not listening to the answers you get.

Whether you want to stay here is entirely up to you. We're happy to answer technical questions, but meet us halfway by listening.

That's all we ask.
